Part-Time Year 4 Teaching Assistant

About the role

This part‑time position supports a Year 4 class in a primary school in Lancaster. Working two days a week, you will help the class teacher deliver lessons and create a positive learning environment for pupils.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions and other school routines.
  • Help prepare and organise learning resources.
  • Contribute to a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Professional references and, if applicable, overseas police clearance.
  • CV covering the last ten years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Willingness to attend a registration interview.

Required skills

    What we offer

    • Part‑time contract (Thursday and Friday, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm).
    • £15 per hour.
    • Start date in September.
    • Experience in a primary‑school setting.
