Part‑Time Accountant – Hybrid & Flexible (Woking)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to work part‑time for a well‑established, privately owned firm in Woking. The role offers hybrid and flexible working, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, delivering timely financial information.
• Produce statutory accounts in line with UK accounting standards and filing requirements.
• Oversee bookkeeping for a varied client base using CCH.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns, providing high‑quality advice.
• Support clients using Xero and other cloud accounting platforms.
• Onboard new clients and ensure smooth migration to cloud‑based systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong bookkeeping background and management accounts preparation.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Good knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping principles.
• Proactive, client‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
