Part‑time Cook (Bank) – Care Home

About the role

Join Agincare as a Cook on a bank/zero‑hour basis, preparing nutritious and enjoyable meals for residents in a care home environment. You will work day shifts, with every other weekend off, delivering high‑quality food that meets individual dietary needs and enhances the daily experience of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily menus that comply with dietary requirements and the IDDSI framework.
• Cook and present meals to a high standard of taste, hygiene and presentation.
• Support themed dining experiences and special occasions to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, stock levels and equipment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with care staff to ensure timely service and accurate documentation of meals.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Experience in a professional kitchen and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Ability to work day shifts and alternate weekends.
• Desirable knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience with complex dietary requirements.
