Part‑Time Cook for Staff Catering (40‑60 Employees)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced cook to run a staff catering service for 40‑60 employees at our Wantage office. The role is part‑time (24 hours per week) with no weekend or evening shifts, offering a good work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, healthy deli‑style lunches including wraps, sandwiches, salads, soups, paninis, cakes and sweet treats.
• Plan innovative menus within a set budget, ensuring high presentation standards and portion control.
• Accommodate individual dietary requirements such as allergies.
• Maintain compliance with COSHH, food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies.
• Order, receive and control food stock, managing inventory and costs.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and create varied food options.
• Proactive attitude with suggestions for improving processes.
• Comfortable handling budgeting and stock ordering.
• Strong communication skills and a lively, team‑oriented personality.
