Part‑Time GCSE English & Maths SEN Tutor

About the role

This part‑time role involves delivering one‑to‑one GCSE English and Maths tuition to secondary‑aged learners in Rochdale. You will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them build confidence and progress toward their GCSE qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaging, personalised one‑to‑one GCSE English tuition.
• Provide engaging, personalised one‑to‑one GCSE Maths tuition.
• Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety and dyslexia.
• Plan and deliver sessions that align with GCSE outcomes and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and company procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 months UK teaching or tuition experience.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Ability to deliver GCSE‑level English and Maths content.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Experience delivering GCSE English curriculum.
• Experience delivering GCSE Maths curriculum.
• Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive learning approaches.
