About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic General Assistants to join our Centra store in Barbican, Newcastle. The role can be part‑time or full‑time on a permanent basis, offering a supportive environment where you can develop retail skills and progress within the company.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service and assist shoppers with their needs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point‑of‑sale system.
- Rotate stock daily to ensure correct dates and product freshness.
- Maintain health and hygiene standards in your designated area.
- Follow closing down and hand‑over procedures at the end of each shift.
Required profile
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to adhere to store shift patterns and opening hours.
- Desirable: previous experience in a similar retail role.
