Pastoral Lead, Intervention & PPA Teacher

About the role

This full‑time, fixed‑term position combines pastoral leadership, targeted academic intervention and PPA teaching for a junior school in North West London. You will work directly with pupils, staff and families to promote wellbeing while delivering high‑quality lessons across Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support for pupils facing social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and external agencies.
• Lead attendance, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
• Deliver targeted interventions in English and Mathematics to close attainment gaps.
• Monitor progress and collaborate with teachers to identify pupils needing support.
• Teach across Key Stage 2 during allocated PPA time, maintaining excellent standards.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with experience in pastoral care and intervention work.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage a varied workload.
• Commitment to the holistic development of each child.
