Patient Access Officer Admissions

About the role

You will be supported by the Registration/Admissions Senior and be part of a dynamic patient‑facing team committed to delivering a warm welcome to all outpatients on arrival at Cleveland Clinic London. You will contribute to an exceptional patient experience by ensuring every outpatient is fully registered at the point of arrival.

Key responsibilities

• Greet day cases, inpatients and visitors and verify that all demographic and financial information is complete.
• Liaise with insurance companies and third‑party payers to obtain authorisations and collect payments using the integrated payment system.
• Complete the administrative admission process, obtaining patient/guarantor signatures and providing cost estimates to self‑pay patients.
• Promote the CCL MyChart App so patients can manage their own healthcare information.
• Communicate with other hospital departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
• Cross‑train across all Patient Access areas and adhere to hospital policies on confidentiality, attendance and dress code.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting or professional front‑desk service environment.
• Experience with patient bookings via hospital computer software (preferred).
• Outstanding customer service, communication and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges, work both independently and as part of a team.
