Payroll and Benefits Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our HR Reward team on a fixed‑term basis. Working hybrid from our London office, you will manage payroll, benefits and pension administration for UK and Jersey entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile monthly payroll for the UK and Jersey, delivering timely and compliant submissions.
• Oversee payroll reporting, pensions and benefits administration, liaising with providers such as ADP, Mercer Marsh and Aviva.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee queries on payroll, parental leave, salary sacrifice and HMRC matters.
• Administer the Darwin flexible benefits platform, handling enrolments, renewals, testing and communications.
• Maintain strong relationships with benefits and pension providers, proactively resolving issues.
• Support regulatory requirements including visa‑related payroll, international assignments and payroll audits.
• Produce management information, reporting and data insights with a focus on accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven end‑to‑end payroll experience, preferably using ADP or a similar system.
• Strong Excel abilities, including pivot tables and payroll reporting.
• Experience administering employee benefits and pensions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external suppliers and providers.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and independent work ethic.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
