Payroll Operations Change and Controls Senior Associate

About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase’s Global Payroll Operations team in Bournemouth and help shape the way payroll services are delivered across multiple countries. You will work closely with HR, Finance, Technology and external vendors to drive operational excellence through disciplined change management and robust controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of payroll services using in‑sourced, hosted and outsourced solutions.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of garnishments, insurance‑related payroll items and taxes.
• Review, document and update payroll processes to improve consistency, efficiency and control.
• Lead change initiatives, including automation, process updates and regulatory implementations.
• Identify improvement opportunities and partner with stakeholders to implement scalable solutions, including AI where appropriate.
• Monitor payroll risks and maintain appropriate governance, controls and monitoring.
• Track legislative changes affecting payroll and coordinate operational updates.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to managers and the broader payroll team.
• Lead training and documentation to strengthen team capability and coverage.
• Support outsourced vendor performance and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering change‑management initiatives, especially automation and technology‑enabled improvements.
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end payroll processes, including tax and employment‑law considerations.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and external partners.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
