Payroll Specialist – Full‑time Hybrid Role in Guildford

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Payroll Specialist to join our vibrant team in Guildford. You will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time while supporting contractors and clients in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly timesheets and ensure timely payroll runs.
• Communicate with contractors and clients via phone and email to resolve payroll queries.
• Maintain PAYE compliance and keep payroll records up to date.
• Identify and resolve issues within payroll or finance processes.
• Support continuous improvement of payroll systems and workflows.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in payroll, finance or accounts.
• Self‑motivated, well‑organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude with a proactive, can‑do mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.

• Voyager Mid‑Office pay and bill system.
• Sage 50 Accounts.
• Sage 50 Payroll.
• PAYE processing.
• Timesheet processing and invoicing.
