PE Teacher – Flexible Full‑time/Part‑time Opportunities in Newcastle

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified PE Teachers to work in secondary and SEN schools across Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible full‑time, part‑time or temporary assignments, with start dates as soon as possible or in September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for a range of abilities.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Promote health, fitness and wellbeing among students.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils where required.
• Collaborate with senior staff to support the school’s curriculum goals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE in secondary or SEN settings is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to engage students.
• Passion for promoting active lifestyles and student wellbeing.
• Early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver inclusive PE lessons.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in school environments.
