People Advisor – Part‑Time (Hybrid)

About the role

This part‑time People Advisor position supports the People, Culture & Inclusion team of a leading cultural organisation in London. Working 21 hours per week on a hybrid basis, you will provide proactive HR advice and help shape a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional HR guidance on policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Support managers with employee‑relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance and flexible‑working matters.
• Assist with change‑management initiatives, restructures and contractual changes.
• Manage recruitment campaigns and promote inclusive hiring practices.
• Facilitate onboarding, employee‑engagement activities and reward advice.
• Monitor sickness absence, liaise with Occupational Health and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to annual people processes such as appraisals, learning & development and pay‑related tasks.
• Maintain HR systems, reporting data and support continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or in a comparable role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies and employee‑relations casework.
• Experience in recruitment and selection processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards) or a relevant HR degree.
• Organisational attention to detail.
• Experience in the arts, cultural or public sector is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of employment legislation.
• Familiarity with HR information systems.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent.
