People Business Partner

About the role

Truespeed is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to support a period of growth and integration. You will work within a small, national team, handling employee‑relations cases and partnering with managers across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a busy employee‑relations caseload end‑to‑end, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence and capability matters.
• Support and deliver organisational change and people projects, ensuring fair processes and outcomes.
• Coach line managers to build confidence and capability in handling people issues.
• Interpret, apply and harmonise people policies, keeping practice aligned with current UK employment law.
• Contribute to organisational design and workforce planning as teams are integrated.
• Provide data‑driven insights to spot trends, manage risk and inform decisions.

Required profile

• Proven HR Business Partner or senior HR Advisor experience with a strong employee‑relations track record.
• Hands‑on experience delivering organisational and people change in fast‑moving environments.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and its commercial application.
• Resilient, pragmatic and comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract.
• Salary between £40,000 and £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
