People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join a well‑established, values‑led organisation in Manchester. In this newly created role you will blend strategic HR partnership with hands‑on operational delivery, ensuring compliance, commercial focus and an outstanding employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on UK employment law, HR best practice and employee relations.
• Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance processes.
• Review, develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and employee documentation.
• Coach and support managers on complex people matters and organisational change initiatives.
• Design and deliver management training on a range of HR topics.
• Identify talent, support succession planning and career development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement programmes.
• Produce and analyse people metrics to inform business decisions.
• Contribute to compliance, ESG and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR professional.
• Strong generalist background with deep knowledge of UK employment law.
• Extensive employee‑relations experience.
• Confidence in coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
• Experience supporting organisational change and policy development.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, commercially focused mindset.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
