About the role
As a People Operations Specialist you will own the accurate, on‑time running of our UK payroll and act as the trusted first point of contact for employee questions on pay, benefits and the employee lifecycle. You will thrive in a fast‑moving environment, using AI and smart tooling to make processes faster, smarter and more reliable.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end monthly UK payroll processing, from data collection to submission and reconciliation.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll queries, liaising with the payroll provider and ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
- Administer benefits programmes, handling enrolments, changes, leavers and provider communication.
- Deliver a smooth employee lifecycle experience, including onboarding, contractual changes, family leave and off‑boarding.
- Maintain accurate people data in the HRIS (Hibob) and produce reliable reports and insights.
- Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to simplify and accelerate workflows.
Required profile
- 3–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR administration or payroll, preferably in a high‑growth environment.
- Hands‑on experience processing UK payroll and solid knowledge of UK payroll and employment fundamentals.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a reputation for accuracy.
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Solution‑oriented, taking initiative to resolve issues independently.
- Comfortable using AI tools to increase efficiency.
- Strong communicator with discretion for sensitive information.
- Confident with people systems, spreadsheets and quick to learn new tools.
