People & Talent Advisor – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are partnering with a leading consumer business to hire a People & Talent Advisor on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. Working closely with the Senior People Partner, you will support managers and employees across the UK, blending recruitment and generalist HR responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for head‑office and operational roles.
• Partner with hiring managers to define needs and deliver hiring solutions.
• Source and attract high‑quality talent through multiple channels.
• Provide a first‑class candidate experience from attraction to onboarding.
• Offer first‑line HR advice on employee relations, absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Coordinate onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and lifecycle administration.
• Support learning & development, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Produce HR documentation and maintain accurate HR systems and records.
• Contribute to HR projects, process improvements and wider people initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment in an in‑house Talent Acquisition role.
• HR advisory background with solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
• Confidence supporting managers on employee‑relations issues.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset and passion for delivering a great people experience.
