Performance Marketing Manager – Global (12-Month Maternity Cover)
deepl · London
Job description
About the role
DeepL is at an inflection point in its growth and is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own its global programmatic and account‑based advertising programmes for Language AI, Voice and API products. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave, operating across EMEA, DACH, AMER and APJ.
Key responsibilities
- Build, launch and continuously optimise account‑list and retargeting campaigns across native, display, CTV, audio and DOOH channels.
- Manage a substantial always‑on media budget, reallocating spend across products, channels and geographies based on performance.
- Own the campaign planning cycle, ensuring launches are not blocked by missing account lists, landing pages or assets.
- Test creative, formats, targeting and channel mix, making data‑driven decisions.
- Serve as internal expert for the ABM platform, creating personalised landing pages and microsites for target accounts.
- Coordinate account‑based plays that combine personalised destinations with programmatic and paid social distribution.
- Deliver account‑level engagement and buying signals to Field and SDR teams quickly.
- Manage relationships with DSP and ABM partners, handling briefs, KPI accountability and creative timelines.
- Lead media agency selection, evaluate new ABM and intent technologies, and oversee CRM and marketing‑automation integrations.
- Own performance reporting, close measurement gaps, and build playbooks for regional marketers.
Required profile
- 4–7+ years in B2B performance or account‑based marketing, preferably enterprise SaaS.
- Hands‑on experience with programmatic advertising (DSP setup, account‑list targeting, retargeting, budget pacing, optimisation across native, display, CTV and audio).
- Experience running an ABM platform or personalisation tooling and using engagement signals for sales outreach.
- Ability to manage sizable media budgets across multiple markets and make reallocation decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong vendor and agency management skills, including briefing, KPI enforcement and RFP evaluation.
- Deep understanding of measurement limits of UTM‑based attribution and ability to work with data teams.
- Proven track record of partnering with Field and SDR teams and building frameworks for other marketers.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, capable of running many concurrent campaigns.
- Builder’s mindset, comfortable operating without a team beneath you.
Required skills
- Programmatic advertising platforms (DSP)
- Account‑Based Marketing (ABM) platforms
- CRM integration
- Marketing automation tools
- Data ingestion and log‑level analytics
- UTM‑based attribution knowledge
