Performing Arts Teacher (Drama/Music) – Full‑time Temp‑to‑Perm

About the role

Prospero Teaching, in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school in Bridgwater, is seeking an inspiring Performing Arts Teacher specialising in Drama and/or Music. This full‑time, temp‑to‑perm position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to shape creative learning for Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Drama and/or Music lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Foster confidence, creativity and collaboration among students.
• Develop pupils' performance, technical and communication skills.
• Support and lead extra‑curricular activities such as productions, clubs and performances.
• Contribute to the growth and cohesion of the Performing Arts department.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Performing Arts (Drama and/or Music) at KS3/KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Creative, energetic and engaging teaching style.
• Ability to inspire students and colleagues.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to departmental development.
• Belief that every student can succeed.
• Not suitable for newly qualified teachers (ECTs).
