Perils Surveyor – Home Based – North/West London

About the role

The specialist national surveying practice is seeking a Perils Surveyor to manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial loss claims. Based from home, you will cover the North and West London region, overseeing each case from initial assessment through to final settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Project‑manage loss files end‑to‑end, handling claims typically ranging from £20,000 to £100,000 and beyond.
• Assess and report on property damage for both residential and commercial clients.
• Maintain a personal caseload while coordinating with insurers and loss‑adjusting partners.
• Prepare detailed survey reports and liaise with all relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in handling domestic and/or commercial property perils losses.
• Relevant professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, or progression towards one.
• Strong understanding of insurance claim processes within surveying.

Required skills

• Property loss assessment and reporting.

• Knowledge of insurance industry standards.
