Personal Tax Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established independent accountancy and advisory firm in Leeds to hire a Personal Tax Manager. The role offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners and trusts while contributing to the growth of the tax practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, trusts and partnerships.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide tax advisory and planning services, identifying opportunities and delivering bespoke advice.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior tax team members and review their work.
• Assist partners and directors on complex advisory projects.
• Contribute to business development and networking activities as required.

Required profile

• CTA qualified, ATT qualified or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing a personal tax portfolio within a practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax legislation.
• Excellent client‑facing and relationship management abilities.
• Proactive, commercial approach to problem‑solving.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
