Personal Tax Manager

About the role

Pro‑Finance is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join its top‑20 UK accountancy practice in Bristol. The role combines full‑cycle personal tax compliance with advisory work for a diverse client base, including individuals, trusts, partnerships and LLPs, many of which own landed estates and rural businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and oversee the entire compliance cycle.
• Review and sign off work prepared by junior tax staff.
• Provide tailored advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trust structures and international tax matters.
• Ensure all statutory deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Support, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Participate in wider firm initiatives such as advisory projects and internal committees.

Required profile

• ATT, ACA or CTA qualified.
• Proven experience in personal tax compliance and advisory.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing junior staff work.
• Background in professional services.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
