Personal Tax Senior – Chartered Accountants (Swindon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join a reputable and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Swindon. The role focuses on personal tax compliance while offering exposure to advisory projects, supporting professional development and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWI, company directors, sole traders, partnerships and trusts.
• Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns.
• Assist clients with tax planning opportunities and advisory matters.
• Support inheritance tax, residency, domicile and other personal tax projects.
• Liaise directly with clients, HMRC and third parties.
• Ensure tax deadlines are met and compliance obligations are fulfilled.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience in personal tax within a UK firm of Chartered Accountants.
• Strong knowledge of self‑assessment and personal tax compliance.
• ATT qualified, CTA part‑qualified/qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
