Personal Tax Specialist – Northwich

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is with a long‑standing accountancy practice in Northwich. Reporting to the Client Director, you will manage a portfolio of 300‑350 personal tax clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, landlords and Court of Protection cases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit self‑assessment tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Liaise with HMRC and third‑party advisers on compliance matters.
• File P11Ds and administer payroll benefits in kind.
• Provide clear, practical tax advice and respond to client queries.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in UK personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage workload independently while supporting a close‑knit team.
• Highly organised with strong deadline management.
• Tax or accountancy qualification (or studying towards one) is beneficial but not essential.
