Pharmacy Technician – Hospital (London)

About the role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its pharmacy team in a high‑acuity environment. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Sunday, with a mix of day shifts and occasional night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop high‑quality, patient‑focused pharmacy services in collaboration with clinical staff.
• Assist the lead/senior technician or pharmacist in the day‑to‑day running of the dispensary.
• Prepare labels using the pharmacy computer system and accurately assemble prescriptions according to SOPs.
• Organise timely supply of out‑of‑stock medication, prioritising and delegating as needed.
• Counsel patients on the use of dispensed medicines, answering queries and providing advice.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) – essential.
• NVQ Level 3 (or recognised equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Services – essential.
• ACT Qualification – essential.
• Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
• Experience working in a busy dispensary and previous hospital pharmacy experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems for label preparation and dispensing.
• Familiarity with automation, digital infrastructure, secure storage systems and bar‑coded medicines administration.
