Physiotherapist – Falls Prevention Service

About the role

The successful Physiotherapist will lead the implementation of a Fall Prevention Service across Havering, working within the NHS framework to improve patient assessments, treatment access, and overall experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and embed a falls‑prevention strategy across all agencies and professions in Havering.
• Manage a specialist caseload, delivering comprehensive assessments, therapy interventions and person‑centred treatment programmes.
• Provide specialist education and advice on falls prevention to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient‑focused care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust policies and contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HCPC standards, CSP guidelines and clinical governance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering healthcare services with a focus on falls management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in change‑management projects.
• Understanding of quality and service improvement techniques and national falls‑prevention guidelines.
• High degree of professional autonomy and strong clinical reasoning.
