Planner – Repairs & Maintenance Scheduling

About the role

The Planner will provide an efficient planning and scheduling service for repairs, maintenance and property‑related activities across Sutton Housing Partnership's housing stock. Working closely with direct labour operatives and external contractors, you will ensure appointments are allocated, progress is monitored and customers receive timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule responsive repairs, void works, planned maintenance and inspection appointments.
• Allocate work to operatives and contractors based on skills, availability, location and priority.
• Optimise daily schedules to maximise productivity and minimise travel time.
• Monitor work queues, adjust schedules to meet service targets and ensure emergency repairs are prioritised.
• Act as the primary point of contact for residents regarding repair appointments, communicating changes and delays professionally.
• Track job progress from request to completion and maintain accurate records in housing management and scheduling systems.
• Produce performance reports and flag scheduling conflicts or operational issues for escalation.
