Platform Engineer (Mid Level) – Norwich

About the role

Epos Now is seeking a mid‑level Platform Engineer to join its core platform team in Norwich. You will help modernise the infrastructure and developer platform, delivering secure, scalable services that power payments and AI‑driven experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core platform services on AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Develop platform APIs and runtime tooling in Go or Node.js, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Drive best practices for security, cost optimisation, performance, and observability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define standards and support migration to modern platform patterns.
• Own services end‑to‑end, including testing, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and post‑incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to an inclusive, high‑performing engineering culture.

Required profile

• Senior‑level platform or SRE experience designing and operating high‑availability cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform (or equivalent IaC) at scale.
• Proficiency in Go or Node.js for building platform tooling.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, observability, and cost control in cloud‑native environments.
• Proven track record of leading initiatives, influencing architecture, and mentoring others.
