About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dependable plumber to join our expanding team in Essex. The role involves delivering responsive plumbing repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties, ensuring homes remain safe, functional, and comfortable.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties, including leaks, blockages, and drainage issues.
• Replace and install taps, toilets, cisterns, basins, pipework, valves, and fittings.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with hot‑water systems, radiators, and heating circuits.
• Remove, repair, or replace bath panels to access pipework and ensure professional re‑finishing.
• Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience in carpentry repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills, especially when working in occupied homes.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £38,000.
• Company van and fuel card.
• 42.5‑hour OOH rota (Monday‑Friday, 8‑5).
