Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Commercial)

About the role

Join a large, well‑established organisation as a Commercial Plumbing and Heating Engineer, supporting a diverse estate of commercial buildings, teaching facilities and specialist environments. You will work within a collaborative Estates & Facilities team, enjoying a structured 36‑hour week, rotating shifts and a strong focus on work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a large commercial estate.
• Diagnose faults and maintain heating, hot water, ventilation and other mechanical building services.
• Support statutory compliance and scheduled maintenance programmes.
• Work on a varied portfolio of buildings and plant equipment.
• Participate in optional on‑call duties with additional payment.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in commercial maintenance, facilities management or mechanical building services.
• Commitment to long‑term, stable employment and continuous professional development.
