Policy Lead - Policy & Regulations

About the role

The Copper Mark, a globally recognised organisation working across the metals and mining value chain, is seeking an experienced Policy & Regulations Lead to shape and deliver its global policy engagement strategy. This is a newly created position based in London, advertised by Acre, and offers an experienced policy professional a chance to influence industry-wide conversations on mining, critical minerals, sustainability and responsible production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the global policy and regulatory engagement strategy, aligned with organisational priorities.
• Monitor, analyse and communicate emerging policy and regulatory developments affecting mining, metals, sustainability, critical minerals and global supply chains.
• Provide strategic policy advice to leadership and internal teams, highlighting risks, opportunities and implications.
• Represent the organisation in consultations, working groups, conferences, industry initiatives and multi-stakeholder forums internationally and regionally.
• Coordinate internal policy engagement and ensure consistent messaging across external stakeholder interactions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, sustainability policy or a related field within industry, international organisations, NGOs, consultancies or public bodies.
• Demonstrable experience engaging with international policy forums, intergovernmental organisations, standard-setting bodies and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Proven experience navigating EU regulatory processes, consultations and engagement with European institutions and authorities.
• An organised, proactive and credible communicator able to engage senior stakeholders and turn complex regulatory developments into clear business insights.
