Portfolio Benefits Lead

About the role

The Portfolio Benefits Lead will own the definition, planning, tracking and reporting of benefits across a major transformation portfolio within SGN's Operations directorate. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that every benefit is linked to strategic objectives and delivers real value to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a consistent benefits management framework aligned with the enterprise benefits strategy.
• Establish governance, standards and tools for benefits identification, tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with portfolio, project and operational teams to quantify, baseline and monitor benefits.
• Ensure benefits are clearly linked to business cases and strategic goals.
• Create benefits maps and profiles that illustrate levers and enablers for realisation.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Transformation Office and Project Delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor to programme directors and business owners on value realisation.
• Facilitate workshops to drive accountability for benefits ownership and embed benefits post‑implementation.
• Support business readiness and transition activities to secure benefit outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in benefits management within large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Strong analytical and governance skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Track record of influencing senior leaders and driving value‑focused cultures.
