Portfolio PMO Analyst - Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Portfolio PMO Analyst to join the technology portfolio management function of a leading global investment bank. The role is initially a six‑month contract, working in a hybrid model with two to three days in the office each week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate IT project portfolio data, including status, milestones, risks, benefits and financial information.
• Support project governance processes and ensure compliance with delivery frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Produce dashboards, management information and executive reports for senior stakeholders.
• Assist with budget management, forecasting, actuals tracking and variance analysis.
• Review project updates, provide constructive challenge and ensure quality reporting.
• Facilitate governance meetings, portfolio processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with technology teams, project managers and finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a PMO, project portfolio management or project governance role within financial services, preferably banking.
• Strong understanding of IT project delivery and governance frameworks.
• Experience with project financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
