Portfolio Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Portfolio Senior Manager to lead the management and governance of model portfolios for a UK‑wide investment management firm. You will act as the technical investment specialist and primary contact for advisers, driving portfolio performance and supporting scalable distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement investment strategies aligned to model risk profiles.
• Oversee portfolio construction, performance monitoring and ongoing optimisation.
• Maintain robust investment governance, documentation and regulatory evidence.
• Manage risk metrics including tracking error, volatility and cost controls.
• Ensure consistent implementation across third‑party platforms.
• Apply performance data and portfolio health checks to inform decisions.
• Deliver clear, insightful portfolio updates to advisers.
• Develop and deliver training materials for adviser understanding.
• Produce thought‑leadership, market insights and client‑focused content.
• Gather feedback to continuously enhance the investment proposition.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing portfolios at scale and complexity.
• Strong technical investment expertise and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Level 7 qualification (CWM or CFA preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with advisers and internal stakeholders.
