Positive Behaviour Facilitator (Primary)

About the role

We are seeking a kind, patient and proactive Positive Behaviour Facilitator to join a primary school in South Bristol. The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional learning needs—such as SEMH, ASD, ADHD—to feel safe, understood and confident in the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to pupils who need extra help accessing the curriculum.
• Adapt learning activities alongside the class teacher to boost confidence and achievement.
• Communicate professionally with staff, colleagues and parents or carers when required.
• Act as a positive role model, applying the school’s reward systems fairly and consistently.
• Support pupils in developing positive behaviours and overcoming barriers to learning using clear, calm strategies.

Required profile

• Calm, resilient and steady when faced with challenging situations.
• Positive, enthusiastic and willing to engage in classroom life.
• Flexible and adaptable to the natural flow of a school day.
• Experience working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or SEN, professionally or personally.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with a range of learning needs.
