Postal Delivery Driver (Postie) – Fixed‑Term

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postie and become the friendly face delivering letters and parcels to the Chipping Norton community. This fixed‑term position offers a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and provides full training, a uniform and an iconic red van.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot within the local area
• Build relationships with customers and deliver a range of items such as exam results, birthday cards and business orders
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weekends and occasional Sunday duties at Banbury

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy, time‑pressured environment
