Postal Delivery Driver – Tewkesbury

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") in Tewkesbury. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses while staying active and connected to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Tewkesbury Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your local route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weekends and Sundays.
• Handle high volumes of mail, ensuring timely delivery during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physical fitness for walking up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) and lifting/ carrying mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
