About the role
Cohere, a security‑first enterprise AI company, is building a dedicated PR and Communications function for the EMEA region. You will partner with the global Corporate Communications team to create regional plans that support growth among governments and enterprises in highly‑regulated industries.
Key responsibilities
- Build a PR and Communications function from the ground up, including hiring PR Managers and agencies in key territories such as the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Brussels.
- Implement PR & Corporate Communications strategies aligned with organisational goals and brand positioning across internal and external audiences.
- Partner with PR, marketing, sales, and external stakeholders to craft clear, compelling messaging that supports business priorities.
- Develop and execute rapid‑response capabilities in each region.
- Oversee high‑impact communications forums including executive speaking engagements, industry conferences, customer events, and internal leadership gatherings.
- Adopt AI‑driven tools for content ideation, creation, and scaling.
- Lead cross‑functional EMEA storytelling initiatives that amplify customer success stories and executive thought leadership.
Required profile
- 12‑15 years of experience in‑house corporate communications, preferably in a fast‑paced high‑growth tech or AI environment.
- 5+ years of people‑management experience.
- Proven ability to hire, onboard and manage PR agencies.
- Experience with pre‑IPO communications and interest in policy/regulatory communications.
- Exceptional writing skills with talent for simplifying complex topics.
- Based in Europe, ideally the UK, Germany or France.
