Practice Accountant – Ipswich

About the role

Our client, an established accountancy practice in Ipswich, is looking for a technically strong Practice Accountant. The role offers a varied workload, client‑facing responsibilities and the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of accounts and tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts up to review stage for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and LLPs.
• Manage a range of personal tax and corporate tax engagements.
• Attend client meetings, delivering clear and professional advice.
• Handle HMRC queries efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain high standards of compliance, accuracy and client service.
• Support internal processes and contribute to the smooth running of the practice.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax.
• Ability to manage your own portfolio independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
