Practice & Business Manager – IFA Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice & Business Manager to support a leading Independent Financial Advice (IFA) firm in Crewe. Working closely with the Financial Planning Director, you will act as the operational hub, aligning people, processes and priorities to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations across all practice departments.
• Lead, motivate and develop the operational and client‑support team.
• Manage workflow, capacity planning and operational performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with external providers such as compliance, IT, marketing and outsourced support.
• Produce management information, KPI reports and operational dashboards.
• Drive business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability and client experience.
• Support business planning, forecasting and operational objectives.
• Oversee compliance activity, governance processes and regulatory action plans.
• Implement new systems, processes and best practice across the business.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and team development.
• Act as the key operational contact to ensure strategic plans are delivered.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing business operations, projects and teams.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities with capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and people‑management experience.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with high attention to detail.
