Practice Educator – Foundation Training Year (FTY)

About the role
The Practice Educator – FTY will join the PSD Scotland Pharmacy team to lead the quality assurance, development and delivery of the Foundation Training Year programme for trainee pharmacists across Scotland. This permanent, full‑time position works remotely with occasional site visits.
Key responsibilities
- Approve and monitor training sites delivering the FTY programme throughout Scotland.
- Provide support to educational supervisors and learners, ensuring consistent standards.
- Develop and maintain education solutions and resources for the FTY curriculum.
- Collaborate with NHS Scotland pharmacy services and national programmes to align training with strategic objectives.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, data collection and reporting for the FTY.
Required profile
- Qualified pharmacist with eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong interest in pharmacy education and training initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively across national health and education organisations.
- Willingness to engage with remote and hybrid working arrangements.
