Practice Manager – Senior Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Lancaster that is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join the senior team. This permanent, full‑time position offers a clear pathway towards Director or Partner level for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Provide tax planning advice and general business guidance to clients.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Review work produced by junior staff and support their professional development.
• Contribute to the improvement of systems, processes and overall client service.
• Gradually take on additional responsibilities in the strategic running of the practice.

Required profile

• Previous practice experience within an accountancy firm.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable managing client relationships and delivering commercial advice.
• Ambitious with a desire to progress to senior leadership.
