Preprint Policy & Partnerships Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Preprint Policy & Partnerships Manager to help transform SSRN into a trusted, world‑class preprint server. The role sits within the SSRN team, part of Elsevier and RELX, and works closely with the Director to shape strategy, partnerships and policy implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director in developing and executing strategies to increase SSRN’s visibility, recognition and influence.
• Build, manage and grow strategic partnerships with funders, industry bodies and societies.
• Contribute to positioning SSRN as a trusted preprint server and to internal projects improving workflows and standards.
• Support high‑impact initiatives, including AI‑led projects and policy implementation.
• Work cross‑functionally to improve discoverability and indexing in platforms such as PubMed and Web of Science.
• Identify and progress opportunities for global expansion, especially in China and India.

Required profile

• Experience in scholarly publishing or preprints.
• Strong understanding of policy, funder requirements and the research ecosystem.
• Proven ability to build partnerships and influence external stakeholders.
• Highly organised, analytical and able to drive initiatives independently.
