Pricing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Pricing Manager to join our London office of a global law firm. The role will support the delivery of value‑focused fee solutions for corporate clients across Europe, acting as a trusted advisor to partners and senior attorneys.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and implement custom fee arrangements that align with client objectives and firm financial targets.
• Advise attorneys on value‑based pricing strategies for key practice areas and guide matters through the pricing approval process.
• Monitor matter performance against budgets, identify variances, escalate risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare client‑facing proposal language, financial summaries and other written deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
• Leverage technology, data analytics and emerging AI‑enabled tools to improve matter planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Provide research, data analysis and project support for strategic initiatives and department‑wide projects.
• Review fee arrangements and engagement terms to ensure compliance with firm policies.
• Document best practices and process improvements for the Client Value function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
• Minimum six years of professional experience, including at least four years in a similar pricing role within a professional services firm.
• Corporate law firm experience preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities with clients, attorneys and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including scenario modelling and data visualisation.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with legal and financial systems such as Aderant, Iridium, Clocktimizer, Foundation, HighQ and Smartsheet.
