Primary Class Teacher – Year 2 (Lambeth)

About the role

An ambitious primary school in Lambeth is looking for a dedicated Primary Class Teacher to lead a Year 2 class from September 2026. The role is part of a supportive KS1 team that values collaboration, high expectations and the development of confident, independent learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils in phonics, reading, writing and maths.
• Use assessment data to identify gaps and accelerate progress.
• Create a positive, well‑organised classroom environment.
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and families to enhance pupil outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent UK primary teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
• Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and parents.
• Reflective, proactive attitude and commitment to excellent outcomes.
