Primary English Specialist

About the role

White Rose Education is seeking a creative, self‑motivated Primary English Specialist to help shape the future of English education. You will work closely with schools, teachers, and leaders to develop and implement high‑quality English curriculum resources and CPD programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation and development of the White Rose English curriculum and associated resources.
• Produce high‑quality teaching materials that align with the curriculum.
• Deliver effective CPD to primary teachers and work with school leaders to improve English teaching practice.
• Audit school provision, identify gaps, and plan improvements.
• Advise schools on the implementation of the White Rose English curriculum.
• Contribute to the wider core‑subject offering, including assessment and oracy development.
• Assist with any reasonable requests and collaborate with partner organisations as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and successful completion of the Early Career Teacher (ECT) programme.
• Demonstrable effective teaching and performance in Primary English.
• Ability to inspire confidence in staff and school leaders.
• Strong teamwork and a positive, adaptable attitude.

Required skills
