Primary School SENCO (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) for a thriving primary school in West London. The school has an Ofsted rating of "Good" and is looking for a dedicated professional to lead its SEN provision throughout the academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review the school’s SEN policy and individual education plans.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers, teaching assistants and parents on SEN matters.
• Coordinate assessments, liaise with external agencies and ensure statutory compliance.
• Monitor progress of pupils with SEND and adjust interventions as needed.
• Lead safeguarding and child protection training for staff.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a SENCO in a UK primary school.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
