Primary School Teacher – Gateshead

About the role

Milk Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary School Teachers to work in welcoming primary schools in Gateshead and surrounding areas. The role offers immediate start dates, flexible full‑time or part‑time options, and the chance to deliver engaging lessons that support pupil progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in line with the national curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that support pupil progress.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour according to school policies.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil achievement and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to meet individual needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school, either as a qualified teacher or an early‑career teacher.
• Strong classroom management and a passion for supporting children’s learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the national curriculum for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism or other barriers.
