Primary School Teacher (Key Stage 2)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to deliver high‑quality education to Key Stage 2 pupils in a Northern Ireland school. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support curricular development, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress using current assessment methods and inform teaching practice.
• Coordinate or assist with a specific curricular area and participate in extra‑curricular activities.
• Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.
• Utilise digital classroom tools, tablets and mobile technologies to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher recognised for teaching in grant‑aided schools in Northern Ireland.
• Registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) before starting.
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching in a primary school, including at least one year teaching Key Stage 2 within the last six years.
• Experience coordinating a curricular area and at least three months of involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
• Knowledge of the Northern Ireland Curriculum, safeguarding policies, SEND Code of Practice, and a range of teaching strategies.
