About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistants to support vibrant classrooms in Torquay and the surrounding Torbay area. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in young learners' lives while working within a supportive school community.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to boost pupil confidence and progress.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support classroom management and prepare learning resources.
Required profile
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with children in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, or coaching (highly desirable but not essential).
- Willingness to obtain a valid Enhanced DBS check.
